Feb. 14, 1952 - May 16, 2025
Marilyn Law Floyd passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A gathering for family and friends was held Monday, May 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at her residence, 4306 White Springs Church Road, Dry Branch, Georgia 31020.
Marilyn was born on, February 14, 1952, in Lax, Georgia to the late Samuel Raymond Law and Versa Mae Luke. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Floyd, brother, Gary Law, sister-in-law, Sandra Law, brother-in-law, Waldo Sandiford, and son-in-law, Clay Wood.
Marilyn’s legacy will be remembered by those who loved her most as a helping and caring mother, stepmother, and grandmother. Spending time with her children, grandchildren, and siblings brought her immense joy. Her face glowed when she looked at Coy. She always had a garden and could grow the best tomatoes ever.
Watching her westerns, reading and cooking with family at Granna’s and sitting on the beach with a good book were her favorite past times.
Marilyn always put others before herself.
She was strong willed and determined. She could do anything she put her mind to. Sheila always said, “if I was on a deserted island, she would be the one I would want to be with.” She was a loving mother and her daughter’s best friend. She was so proud of Bobby and loved hearing his stories.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Little; son, Bobby Harper; stepdaughters, Sheila Wood and Jamie Floyd; sister, Carolyn Sandiford; brother, Roger Law (Jennie); grandson, Coy Little (Hannah); granddaughter, Kaitlyn Soler (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Isabella and Abram Soler; son-in-law, Neal Little; and many nieces and nephews.
