Janelle was the beloved wife of Jerry “Pete” Mansfield, an Air Force veteran to whom she was married for sixty-two wonderful years. She was a devoted mother to her children, Tracy (Bobby) Price and Jerry (Sami) Mansfield. She cherished her grandchildren; Janea Crews, LeAnna Phillips, and Gabe Mansfield, and her great-grandchildren; Sophia Crews, Cohen Crews, Georgia Peters, and Harper Crews. She is also survived by her brother, Calvin (Gail) Watts. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, M.
Wilbur Watts.
Janelle was a spirited, faith-filled woman who lived a life of love and service. Her selflessness and generosity touched many lives, and her compassion and caring nature were evident in all she did. As an Air Force wife for twenty-six years, she traveled the world, creating a warm and loving home wherever she went. She had a zest for life, loved to laugh, and found joy in reading, decorating, traveling, and spending time with her beloved animals.
A proud member of Pleasant Baptist Church and MENSA International, Martha’s greatest joy came from her family, especially her role as Nana. She was dedicated to her family and her faith, embodying the love of Christ in her daily life.
Gray Memorial Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the care of the Mansfield family.
