In the Gospel of John, the Apostle has Jesus referring to Himself as I AM. This is God’s name, the name God told Moses to use with the Hebrews (Ex 3:14). Seven times in John’s Gospel, Jesus uses I AM in connection with Himself. His “I AMs” link Him to the Old Testament revelation of God.
