Field set for Morris Bank Christmas Tournament

The field is set for next week's Morris Bank Holiday Classic basketball tournament at JCHS. The field contains teams from all over the state as teams will be coming from middle Georgia and near the Atlanta, Augusta, Albany, and Savannah areas.

The tournament, from Dec. 19-21, begins Monday morning in the girls bracket at 10 a.m. with Peach County playing Doughtery, Druid Hills against Northeast Macon at Noon, McDonough and Perry at 3:15 p.m. at Gray Station Middle, and Jones County against Crisp County at 6 p.m.

Respective winners' bracket games will be at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, with losers' bracket games at 9 a.m. and noon. That will set up Wednesday's consolation and championship round, that'll conclude with the championship game at 6 p.m.

Play beings in the boys' bracket on Monday with Woodland Stockbridge against Peach County at 1:30 p.m., Perry against Grovetown at 4:30 p.m., New Hampstead against Devyne Stephens at 3 p.m., and Jones County against Stockbridge at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday's winner's bracket games are set for 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., with the loser's bracket contests at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday's final round of games wraps up with the championship at 7:30 p.m.
