Greyhounds to open playoffs at home

The Greyhounds will begin next week's GHSA Class AAAA state playoffs at home.

Jones County will enter the postseason with a 9-1 record and the second seed from Region 2-AAAA. This comes after Stockbridge was made to forfeit nine wins by the GHSA. Following Tuesday's appeal by Stockbridge being denied, Jones County's record moved to 9-1 overall and 8-1 in the region, placing them second in the region behind Ola.

As a result, JCHS hosts East Forsyth in the first round, the third seed from Region 8-AAAA. The winner of that game would advance to play either Marist or Benedictine in the second round, with Marist hosting if it wins its first-round game.
