Ragins commits to future SEC program

The commitment is in for Greyhounds receiver Zion Ragins.

After nearly three years of being courted by some of the top programs from across the country, Ragins, also a state champion track star, committed to Oklahoma on Tuesday afternoon, choosing the Sooners over teams such as Georgia, Florida State, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Jones County now has two players on its starting offense committed to major conference programs as quarterback Judd Anderson committed to Miami earlier this year.

Ragins, a two-time state champion in the 100-meter run and once in the 200 meters, will join a Sooners 2024 signing class that will now include five receivers.

Ragins won't spend his entire career as a Sooner far away, as Oklahoma could potentially play at Georgia, South Carolina or other SEC teams depending on conference schedules once Texas and Oklahoma join the conference next year.
