Middle school boys first, girls second at Peake Invitational

Jones County’s middle school runners were among the best in the field at last week’s Peake Invitational in Macon. The team of boys runners won first with the girls coming in second in addition to scores of season-best performances also being set.

Greyhounds turn back Hampton

After fighting off a pesky opponent and battling through adversity, a battle of unbeatens awaits the Greyhounds.Jones County put a late score on the board Friday in pulling away from Hampton to win 28-9.

Lady Hounds back on track following two big wins

The first half of the Greyhounds region schedule wrapped up Wednesday at first-place Ola, leading right into Thursday’s home game against McDonough that will begin the second side of the region schedule.

Region play underway for Lady Hounds

The time of the season with results of matches meaning more began for the Volley Hounds last week with the start of contests that’ll count within region standings.

Eighth grade football overwhelms Upson Lee

Jones County’s eighth grade football team cranked up the offense in last week’s win against Upson Lee, winning 47-30. Laquon Pendleton and Amarion Ussery each rushed for three touchdowns, and Chandlon Stone ran back an interception for a touchdown.
