Residents of Brookstone Village were treated to a concert by singer, songwriter and American Idol contestant Ashton Jones Feb. 27. The 20-year-old was born and raised in Gray and has been playing the guitar and singing since the age of 16. Locals may be familiar with the singer whose talents have been showcased at recent Main Street Gray events, Macon’s Society Garden and Cherry Blossom Festival, in addition to a broad variety events and venues. Ashton will be appearing on American Idol this season that premieres March 9. He also has songs available on all streaming platforms.
