Early voting ends at the Jones County Government Center Oct 30, and for those not taking advantage of early voting, Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
All Jones County precincts will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the Nov. 4 Election that includes the selection of all four district council seats for the City of Gray. In addition to the city election, voters will be deciding on the renewal of the Jones County Special Purpose Local Option Sales tax and voting for a District 3 Public Service Commissioner for Georgia.
Incumbents David Tufts of District 1, Terrell Fulford of District 3 and Terry Favors of District 4 are all opposed.
Tufts is opposed by Richard Tipton, Fulford by Natalie Lurie and Favors by Billy Horne. District 2 does not have an incumbent, but it is a contested race. The two candidates are Ikea Simmons and Lehman Wood.
