A caller stated that a male subject was trying to flag down traffic with his flashlight. Robinson arrived and made contact with the subject. The male advised Robinson that he had gotten in a fight with his girlfriend in Monroe County and he left walking. Robinson had dispatch run the name and date of birth through the NCIC/GCIC system and it came back showing the subject had an active warrant out of Monroe County. The male was placed in handcuffs at that time and Monroe County patrol met Robinson at the county line to turn the male subject over.

Morris initiated a traffic stop at that time. The deputy made contact with the female driver and told the subject the reason for the stop. The driver told Morris that she had bought the car from a friend, and she has been paying the friend for the insurance to be maintained. The driver also told Morris she did not have an insurance policy in her name. The driver was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Jones County LEC where she was issued a citation for no insurance and handed over to jail staff for booking.

Dec. 8

Lt. Ransom was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle passing by and the female driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Ransom also ran the license plate through the GCIC system, and it showed that the vehicle had no insurance and suspended registration.

Ransom activated his blue lights and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. When the Lt. made contact with the driver, he observed a juvenile male in the middle row and was also not buckled up. Further check on the female subject showed she was driving on a class CP license with no licensed driver in the passenger seat. At that time, Ransom placed the female driver in handcuffs and transported her to the Jones County LEC where she was issued citations for no insurance, adult seatbelt violation, child seatbelt violation, and violation of license class restriction.
