Hello Pre-K Parents and Students, The 2024-25 school year is going to be amazing. This is my third year as the director of Jones County Pre-K, but I have been in the Jones County School System for 28 years. My husband Scott and I live here in Jones County with our two children, Bennett (sophomore, Columbus State University) and Erik (10th grade, JCHS). I am honored to be leading this exceptional staff as they lead you and your student through their very first “big school” experience.
Please join me in welcoming the following staff to the JCPK family: teacher, Chris Mitchell, as well as paraprofessionals, Danielle Ayers, Stefanie Cannon, Madison Haskins and Rebecca Upshaw. Our theme for this year is “JC Pre-K: Just a Walk in The Park.”

Your child will receive 2 pick-up cards at the beginning of the year with their pick-up number on them. You must have your child’s actual pick-up card (pictures of pickup cards are not acceptable) and it must be visible in the front window of your car when picking up your child. After 2:20, if you do not have your child’s pick-up card you will have to wait to enter the building until the car rider line is clear, which could be as late as 3 p.m. You will have to park in parent parking, walk in after the car rider line is clear, and present your ID to sign your student(s) out. If your child has an urgent appointment, we suggest you time your student pickup to be before 2:15. Students picked up after 3:00 are considered late pickups.
