Charles Person’s last speaking appearance was right here in Lake Country at the movie theater. It was a republican gathering with the theme… when blacks and whites come together for a common cause…Show of unity.
However, Charles was a democrat. He and I both agreed at 65 years ago it was systemic racism that divided this country and 65 years later its politics.
He was an activist till the end.
