–George Sheffield Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return uto God who gave it.--Eccl 12:7 Unless the Lord comes back, we will all taste death. Death is not a natural part of life. It is the enemy of life (1 Cor 15:26), and one day it will be cast into the Lake of Fire (Rev 20:14). But right now, we have to deal with it.
Our bodies will return to the dust from where they came--back to earth. Someone once called our bodies our “earth suits“. Come one day, we will discard them and our souls will return to God from Whom they came.
After death there is a judgment. All our works and words, how we lived our lives in our earth suits, will be judged.
Good news is, Jesus has already been judged for us, and when we repent and believe on Him, the judgment passes over us.
With us clothed in His blood, the Father declares us not guilty. But no Jesus blood on you, then the judgment will fall on you--no passover.
Be saved today. Death can come quickly, any day, any time.
