Real Life

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

(Matt. 24:36).

Jesus says He will come back. He has never failed to do what He says He’ll do. But people say, “Preachers have said for ages that Jesus would one day come back, but the years go by and still no Jesus!” And so, many believe He never will return.

Peter addressed this: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2 Pet 3:3-4). Jesus will return on His time schedule, not ours! The longer He puts off returning, the more chances a person has to be saved. God will keep His word; He will return, but He wants as many people as possible to be saved.

When He does come back, it will be too late to be saved then.

We are to live every day as if He is to return that day. This doesn’t mean we quit our jobs, sell our possessions, and wait on some mountain top. We are to continue our daily lives but in anticipation of His coming.

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” (Matt.

24:42). Jesusiscoming back.
