“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
(Eph 4:32) This verse should be underlined in your Bible and burned onto your heart! This verse speaks of a kindness that we as Christians are to have.
First we are to be kind to each other. We are to show love one to another just as Jesus shows us love and is kind to us. Sure we will have disagreements.
All families do. We are not clones of each other, nor does God want us all the same. We have different tastes, different likes and dislikes, different gifts, different skills--we are all different and thank God for that! Because of these differences there may be times we don’t always see eye to eye, and it’s okay to disagree as long as we do it with love for one another, respecting one another. While it may be okay to disagree, it is never okay not to love one another. Love is the stuff that cushions our differences.
We have no excuse for not showing kindness to each other.
