Real Life

–George Sheffield “…forgetting the things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before “-Phil 3:13 During 2025, I’m sure we all made mistakes, committed sins we now regret. Perhaps there are things we have done in other, past years that still haunt us, ghosts that keep coming back to visit us. And if we could go back, we’d undo them all. We can’t. What’s done is done.

But you need to understand this truth--as a believer, Christ has forgiven you of all the sins of your yesterdays, has voided out all the mistakes.

His word tells us to forget those things that are behind and press forth to those things that are before. While the sins of our past won’t be wiped from memory, we are not to dwell on them.

Dwelling on sins that are forgiven and forgotten by God, is a waste of time. In Isa 43:25, God says He has blotted out, forgiven, and forgotten your sins.

If God has done that, so should you. In Christ, you have been pardoned and set free. So, reach forth to serve Jesus--just as Peter, who denied Jesus, did; just as Paul, who persecuted the church, did.

Forget and reach in 2026 for Jesus.
