Sonrise Ministries held its Customer Appreciation Day last weekend with food, discounts and giveaways. Ministry leader Ronnie Hinson began the Sept. 21 event with a prayer in the Farmers Market at Sonrise Ministries and the exciting news of free hotdogs, chips and drinks to all customers. Hourly drawings took place for Ranchers’ gas gift cards, Dairy Queen of Gray gift cards and homemade cookies by Courtney Greene. Live music happened throughout the day by Laura Adams and Evan Jones. All store merchandise was 50 percent off, and many vendors participated, offering a variety of items, including jewelry, plants, snow cones, face painting, tie-dye clothing, sweet treats and crafts. Pastor Carol Mora said she was grateful for everyone who attended. The day ended with Hinson drawing the winning ticket for a $100 gas gift card. The leader said he was happy to give back to the community and all the wonderful customers of Sonrise Ministries.
