TK Med Spa, a new spa with several different services, is open in Jones County for beauty and relaxation needs.
The business is located at 4120 Gray Highway in Gray, and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tory Etheridge, a certified nurse practitioner and owner of TK Med Spa, said she has lived in Jones County her entire life, and she enjoys the small community feel. She said it’s a great community to be a part of, and she’s glad she owns her business here.
“I like that Jones County supports Jones County. It’s unique in that way,” she said. “I’ve always enjoyed living here, because of that small town feel.”
Etheridge said she works with Courtney McKinney, a registered nurse, and Holly Lewandowski, an esthetician. She said both ladies live in Jones County, too.
“Here at TK Med Spa we offer a bunch of different services. We do Botox, lip filler, lip flips, a whole weight loss program that includes B12 shots, skinny shots, we write Adapex prescriptions, and Semaglutide, which is diabetic medication that has been approved for weight loss. We also have a medical skincare line; we do chemical peels and we now have an esthetician who does facials and body waxing. We do a lot,” Etheridge said.
She said TK Med Spa is important for Jones County, because they offer services locals can get done that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to get in Jones County. She said the business can stay in Gray now, plus she keeps her services affordable.
The owner said she was always interested in doing services such as Botox, so in 2021 she realized she could make a business of her own out of it. She said she just decided to go for it, and she adds on new services as she learns more. She said she got TK Med Spa up and running in June 2022, and it’s been a whirlwind since then.
“I was a nurse practitioner in a nursing home before I was doing this, so my career totally changed. The pandemic stressed the entire medical system, and I wanted something different. I really enjoy this, and our clients love being here,” she said.
Etheridge said there is a stigma where people think Botox and lip fillers will look unnatural, but she said these things can be tailored to give a natural look. She said she does her best to go based on what the clients want and what is safest for them. She said a lot more people get these services than people realize, because it looks natural.
She said she would love for new clients to come in and try out the services offered at TK Med Spa. She said she enjoys meeting new people at her business.
“We give the hometown touch to our business, the southern feel to it,” the owner said. “We are very approachable and flexible with people’s needs. We are extremely understanding. We definitely give that Jones County touch since we all live here, so come check us out.”
