Cry Out America hosted at Carol’s Park Sept. 11

Cry Out America, a nationwide prayer initiative, will be held at Carol’s Park in downtown Gray Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. to pray and give thanks to those who put their lives on the line daily and remember what happened on Sept. 11, 2001.

Four homes that were demolished last week signaled the completion of a code violation project that started before the pandemic and included 22 homes with housing code violations. Three homes were taken down and property cleared on William Court and one on New Clinton Road.

Man caught with drugs tries to have evidence suppressed

A defendant facing drug trafficking charges was in Jones County Superior Court attempting to suppress evidence found in a traffic stop that led to his charges. Michael Terreco Willis was represented by defense attorney Lars Anderson in the Aug. 31 motion to suppress.
