Bulldogs’ Bowers praised following Florida win

Georgia tight end Brock Bowers had a career day last week against Florida. The sophomore pass-catcher hauled in five receptions for a career-high 154 yards and a TD on Saturday in the top-ranked Bulldogs’ 42-20 win over the Gators.
Ahead of next weekend’s region meet, Jones County’s competition cheer squad journeyed northward on Saturday and carried home a second-place finish amongst heated competition in the Chief Cheer Classic. Saturday’s region meet will determine who advanced to the state meet, to be held Nov. 12 at the Macon Coliseum. CONTRIBUTED

More Jones County voters have cast their ballots, utilizing Early Voting thus far in the upcoming mid-term election, than voted on Election Day in the 2020 presidential election. The total number of Jones County voters who voted on Election Day Nov. 3, 2020, was 3,927.
