Terrie and Hal Creek are the local veterans of the week.Terrie served in the U.S. Army from 1974 - 1980. After completing Russian language cryptanalysis training, she worked at the National Security Agency for a year, then in Augsburg, Germany, for three years as a Russian intelligence analyst.

Downtown growth

A few Sundays ago, Billy and I drove to downtown Macon for dinner and couldn’t find a place to park.The sidewalks were crowded with people.Outdoor tables at The Rookery, Parish, and Oliver’s were full. Dogs rested beneath chairs while children darted between families enjoying the warm evening.

GBI arrests former police officer for sexual battery
