20 cases indicted on usual charges

Jones County’s Grand Jury met last week and brought back true bill indictments on all but one of the items considered.Jury members considered 21 bills of indictment and true billed 20 of the charges presented at the Aug. 3 session.

Commissioners set another work session for cemetery; cats cause complaints

The Jones County Board of Commissioners recognized a special service project and listened to ideas about State Place Cemetery at last week’s meeting.Board Chairman Chris Weidner called the Aug. 4 meeting to order. The prayer and pledge were led by Rev. Wilbur Greene with New Damascus Church.
