Word of God Speak

Dear Editor,

‘Word of God Speak’, the public reading of the Holy Word of God, will be October 80 – 17, at Carol’s Park in downtown Gray. The complete reading of Scripture takes an average of eight days to complete and will occur during the hours of 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, DAILY.

The community is invited and encouraged to participate in the readings. Who is qualified to read? Anyone who loves the Lord and is a believer and follower of His Word. Readers are asked to read for 15 minutes or longer. Groups can reserve blocks of time. Timeslots may be reserved ahead of time by contacting us at kbomin092@gmail.com or by texting/calling 478-9600773. Reservations are not required, but it is helpful to those with limited time, and it helps our team as we plan for each day. Not sure of your schedule? Just show up and let us know you would like to read. If nobody is scheduled for that time, it is yours.

This is a perfect Fall Break activity for FAMILIES – bring lunch or a snack and enjoy spending time reading and listening to the blessings and warnings found in Scripture. Bring your favorite Bible or use one of ours.

This reading is an act of worship. The results impact eternity. We hope EVERY CHURCH in the local Body of Christ will participate this year. Bible Study groups, prayer teams, youth through senior groups are all encouraged to join us! We are to set an example for others in speech, in life, in love, in faith and purity. (1 Timothy 4:12) Together we will stand united and demonstrate that we ARE NOT ASHAMED of the Good News, since it is God’s powerful means of bringing salvation to everyone who keeps on trusting. (Romans 1:16) Check out these scriptures if you need more reasons to participate: 2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 103:17-18; Psalm 119:105; Romans 10:17; Matthew 4:4; 1 Timothy 4:13; Revelation 1:3.

This oral reading of Scripture is a REALLY BIG DEAL because there is NO GREATER POWER in all of creation than GOD’S WORD. It causes hearts to change by reminding us of the promises and warnings in God’s Word, activating our faith, and compelling us to become more like Jesus. Speaking Scripture aloud launches it into our spirits, over our community, and throughout the earth, releasing truth, freedom, revelation, healing and blessings wherever it goes.

There has been too much tragedy in our community recently. This time of proclaiming God’s Word is much needed. May it result in lives changed and the building up of the Body of Christ in Jones County. May people accept God’s teaching and be drawn into the Kingdom of God. May this reading of God’s Holy Word bring healing, hope, help, salvation, and deliverance, to our families, our community, and our nation.

These Words have a mission to complete for the Lord. They will NEVER fail but will indeed accomplish their intended purpose. Isaiah 55:11; Matthew 24:35; Isaiah 40:8.

Sincerely, Debra Hall Team KBOMIN
