Dear Editor,
Word of God Speak is a public reading of God’s Holy Word over our community that will take eight days to complete. This will be October 11 – 18 at Carol’s Park, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, DAILY.
The community is invited to participate in the readings. Simply select a day that is best for you, and reserve a time-slot of 15 minutes or more, by contacting us at kbomin092@gmail.com or texting 478-456-1597. Another option is to just show up and say you want to read. If nobody is scheduled for that time, it is yours.
Families and groups can reserve blocks of time to read. Churches are especially encouraged to support this time of declaring God’s Word over our community. We are to set an example for others in speech, in life, in love, in faith and purity. (1 Timothy 4:12) Together we will stand united and demonstrate that we are not ashamed of the Good News, since it is God’s powerful means of bringing salvation to everyone who keeps on trusting. (Romans 1:16) Scripture is God-breathed. It is mighty and able to penetrate even the most hardened and darkened hearts, with convicting, life-giving power. A renewed focus on the great truths of God’s Word must precede any season of repentance and revival in our lives and nation. All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living. (2 Timothy 3:16) Our God is a covenant keeping God. His mercy on those who fear Him is from eternity past to eternity future, and His righteousness extends to His children’s children, provided they keep His covenant and remember to follow His precepts. (Psalm 103:17-18) This oral reading of God’s Word is a BIG DEAL because there is no greater power in all of creation than the Word of God. It causes hearts to change by reminding us of the promises and warnings in God’s Word, activating our faith, and compelling us to become more like Jesus. Speaking scripture aloud launches it into our spirits, over our community, and throughout the earth, releasing truth, freedom, revelation, and blessings wherever it goes.
Reading scripture aloud is a powerful act of worship to honor One, True, and Living God. The results impact eternity. God’s Word never dies, so the scripture we speak never dies, but continues to do its work.
These Words have a mission to complete for the Lord and they NEVER fail, but do indeed accomplish their intended purpose. God’s spoken Word will not return unfulfilled, but will accomplish every purpose He intends, and what He sent it to do shall succeed.
(Isaiah 55:11) Everything will perish in heaven and earth, but God’s Word will never pass away; the Word of our God will stand forever. (Matthew 24:35, Isaiah 40:8) Come join us as we make God’s Word Speak! Need more reasons to support this Read Thru the Bible?

May people accept God’s teaching and be drawn into the Kingdom of God. May this reading of God’s Holy Word bring healing, hope, help, salvation, and deliverance, to our families, our community, and our nation.

Dear Editor,
As a long-time neighbor of Rick Tipton, I’ve witnessed firsthand his tireless dedication to our community. As a resident of Graystone Park subdivision, he’s gone above and beyond to improve our neighborhood from advocating for the city to take over our streets to maintaining the entrance road to our subdivision for 18 years. I also believe his selfless work on the BLIGHT committee has made a tangible impact on our city and county. Our small town is looking better every day. What sets Rick apart is his humility and willingness to serve without seeking recognition. He’s always available to lend a helping hand or offer guidance to those in need. As an Independent candidate for Gray City Council District 1, Rick brings a fresh perspective and a commitment to putting our community’s needs first. I believe Rick Tipton is the kind of leader we need on city council – one who puts people over politics and is driven by a desire to serve. Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican or Independent, Rick’s integrity and leadership qualities make him the clear choice for this election. Let’s move beyond career politicians and elect a true champion of our community. Rick Tipton is the right person for the job.
