“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
(Eph 4:32) Second we are to be tender hearted towards one another. When God saved you He said in Eze 36:26 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” The old nature has a heart of stone. It cares for nothing or no one other than itself.
But God has given us a heart of flesh, one that is soft and has feelings of compassion and concern for others. It’s not a natural heart, but a supernatural heart transplanted by Jesus upon salvation. A heart soft towards God and soft towards His children. A heart that rejoices with our brothers and sisters in the good times, and one that weeps with them in the bad.
Exercise your tender heart. As a believer God has given you one.
