–George Sheffield Elizabeth, the cousin of Mary, called Mary the mother of my Lord (Lk 1:43). Mary the mother of God. But she is not the mother of Jehovah God. God has no mother, no father, no creator.
Jehovah God is eternal, He transcends time.
But Mary is the mother of God in that she gave birth to God the Son.
Jesus is God in the flesh, Emmanuel--God with us. Mary was the vehicle through which God the Son entered into this world as flesh and blood.
Jesus took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men--Phil 2:7. Jesus said to the Father in Heb 10:5, A body hast Thou prepared Me. And that body was prepared by God in the womb of the virgin Mary. So in that sense, Mary was the mother of God--God the Son.
Since Jesus had no human father, because holy God is His Father, Jesus never inherited the sin nature as we all do. He had no sin in His DNA.
He could then die as the perfect Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice for our sin. Jesus, God the Son in human flesh, was born to die for our sakes.
