“Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep“-John 10:7 Jesus says I am the door of the sheep. He’s not a door of the sheep. He is The door, the only door, the only way to enter into the sheepfold. There aren’t multiple doors to Heaven.
Not different paths to salvation. God has only one door whereby you must enter to be saved and that door is Jesus and Him alone. You are wasting your time knocking on the doors of religion, of good works, of commandment keeping, of ceremonial rituals, of the golden rule, of church membership, of baptism, of communion, whatever. These doors lead nowhere. They do not open to the Father’s house. Jesus and Jesus alone, is the Door.
While Jesus is the door, there is a needed key to open the door. That key is repentance. No repentance, no entrance. No one is coming into the Father’s house dragging in their pride and sins.
Just what is repentance?
It’s saying to Jesus, “Lord you are right, I am wrong.
I want to do it Your way”.
Humanity wants to sing the song “I Did It My Way”. To be saved you got to do it God’s way. You must come through His door, surrender your life over to Jesus, and follow Him.
