Document shredding, tire recycling on site. Safety vest, work gloves, trash/recycle bags will be available at 102 E. Clinton St., March 25 & 26 from 2 – 4 p.m. and the day of the day of the event. Following the cleanup there will be lunch for volunteers and an award ceremony.

What: Honor Flight Golf Tournament When: Shotgun start at noon Where: Southern Hills Golf and Country Club, 360 Warner Robins Hwy., Hawkinsville More Info: Middle Georgia Honor Flight will have six honor flights again this year. Part of a nationwide network of 135 hubs, Middle Georgia Honor Flight was founded in 2018 and has taken over 400 veterans on 30 flights to Washington D.C. to see their memorials.

What: Gray Garden Club Elmyr Henderson Memorial Scholarship When: Deadline is April 15 Where: Applications may be obtained from the JCHS Counselor’s office or at the Jones County Public Library.
More Info: Applications for the Elmyr Henderson Memorial Scholarship through the Gray Garden Club are currently being accepted. One $1000 scholarship will be offered for the 2026 graduating class. Applications are available for any high school senior who is a resident of Jones County. Applications may be obtained from the JCHS Counselor’s office or at the Jones County Public Library.
