SOCCER HOUNDS
The Lady Greyhounds danced into history this season by winning the first soccer region title in program history.
Not surprisingly, Jones County has also dominated the all-region selections from GHSA Region 2-AAAA.
In fact, a total of nine Lady Hounds were named all-region. Not only that, but Daisy Blanton was named Region Goalkeeper of the Year with head coach Mikayla Coley being Region Coach of the Year.
A total of six Lady Greyhounds were first-team selections. Those were Mikalyla Mallory, Cadence Tanner, Emory Sanford, Blanton, Elissa Taylor, and Alicia Chen.
Cari Green and Marissa Moore were second-team selection with Rickman being an honorable mention pick.
