Dear Editor,
I want to take a moment to thank each my friends and supporters from the bottom of my heart for standing with me throughout this campaign for Jones County Board of Education Chair. While we were not successful in securing the seat, I am deeply proud of the work we did together and the message we carried with integrity, courage, and unity.
This campaign was never just about winning an election. It was about our children, our schools, our teachers, and our community’s future. It was about bringing transparency, fairness, love and representation to a Board that has not reflected the full diversity of Jones County for far too long. Together, we made our voices heard, and that impact does not end with this election.
I am grateful for every prayer, every encouraging word, every volunteer hour, every donation, and every vote. You showed up with strength and purpose, and I will always be thankful for your belief in me and in the vision we shared.
Although the outcome was not what we hoped for, I remain committed to serving this entire community. My dedication to our students and families has not changed, and I will continue to advocate for equity, accountability, and excellence in education. There is still work to be done, and I intend to stay engaged in that work.
Please know that I appreciate you more than words can express. This journey has reminded me of the power of community, and I am honored to have walked this path with you.
