With the field of dozens of candidates for state office narrowed down, final choices for party nominee will be chosen June 16 with early voting wrapping up Friday.
Voters who chose a party in the May 13 primary will only be able to vote for the same party in Tuesday’s runoff unless a non-partisan ballot was chosen.
There are no local races, but the hotly contested and tortuously advertised race between Lt. Gov. Burt Jones and businessman Rick Jackson for the Republican nomination for Georgia Governor will finally come to an end. The winner will face Keisha Lance Bottoms, who won the Democratic nomination outright last month.
Republican Congressman Mike Collins and former football coach Derek Dooley are also facing off to see who will face U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, a Democrat, in November.
