Dec. 3, 1960 - June 11, 2026
Patricia Avery Roberson passed away Thursday morning, June 11, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving children.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, New Salem Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with a visitation for family and friends at 10:30. The Rev. Eddie Windham officiated.
Trisha was born in Macon, Georgia on December 3, 1960, to the late John and Mildred Bates Avery. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Avery and daughter-in-law, Jess Roberson.
Trisha worked for the Jones County Sheriff’s Department for thirty-one years as a dietician. She was a graduate of Jones County High School and Macon State College. She was all about her family, which was the most important thing in her life. Trisha never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her job was a ministry where she felt feeding inmates at the lowest point of their life was an opportunity to make life a little better.
Each day was a gift, and you should keep going in difficult times. Her annual vacation trips to Tybee Island with her children and grandchildren was the highlight of her year.
She will forever be remembered for her faith-filled, gracious, selfless and determined spirit.
Trisha is survived by her loving and devoted children, Shane Roberson and his children, Emma, Kinley and Tommy, Shannon Roberson and Melissa (Daniel) Jones and their son, Avery; siblings, Wanda Avery Bass, Linda (Butch) Reece, Pauline (Chris) Brower Sr., and brother, Johnny (Patty) Avery and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers were accepted and appreciated by the family.
Gray Memorial Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the care of the Patricia Roberson family.
