Peggy Moore Burgess Brennaman, 88, passed away at Autumn Lane Health and Rehabilitation on Thursday, June 25, 2026. A memorial service will be held at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with a time for visitation beginning an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly requests donations be made to Gray Methodist Church or the Jones County Animal Shelter.
Born in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Earl and Helen Moore, Peggy forged a career with BellSouth in Birmingham. She was a member of Sports Car Club of America and served as a correspondent for Auto Week for several years in the 1960s. She also volunteered with the local Humane Society and Animal Welfare Society. Peggy was a lifelong Episcopalian and became a devout member of Gray Methodist Church after moving to Georgia.
She loved the Lord and is certainly rejoicing in Heaven now.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Floyd Brennaman, Jr. She is survived by her children, Tara Robinson (Todd) and Paul Brennaman, III (Robyn); grandchildren, Brannen Robinson Edmonson (Brice), Dawson Robinson, AnnaKate Brennaman, Millie Brennaman, and Lucy Brennaman; and sisters, Diane Skaggs (Kenneth), Helen Elkins (George), and Rebecca Minton (Wayne).
