Janis King Schoenbeck

Janis King Schoenbeck, 64, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Janis was born on December 17, 1961, to the late James and Glenda King. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1979 where she was on the cheerleading squad.

Janis earned her bachelor’s degree from Middle Georgia State University and her master’s degree in psychology from the University of North Alabama.

Janis managed the Men’s Warehouse for many years and helped many people with weddings, formals, and funerals. She loved making sure that her clientele was dressed their very best.

Janis was an animal lover and loved her cats.

Her greatest joy was her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Ron Schoenbeck of Jones County; her children, Jessica Stephens Manning (Andrew) of Byron, Georgia, Paul Schoenbeck (Amy) of Akron, Ohio, Laura Schoenbeck of Atlanta, Georgia, Jennifer Haston of Macon, Georgia, and James Haston (Makita) of Macon, Georgia; her grandchildren, Alexis Lassiter and Tate Stephens (Emma); great-grandchild, R.J. Smith; her brother, James “Trey” A. King, III of Macon, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Samuel King.
