Stolen BBQ supplies
Dep. Hammond was dispatched to a local business in reference to a shoplifting call. Once the deputy arrived on scene he was met by the manager of the business. The manager stated that a male subject filled up a shopping cart with a box of chips, a big cooler and a lot of grilling utensils and BBQ supplies. Hammond asked the manager to give him an approximate amount of the cost of the stolen items and the manager stated it would be right around $200.00 worth of items taken. The manager also told the deputy that she followed the suspect outside and watched him throw everything into his car. She stated she asked the male subject if he was going to pay for the items and the subject told her it was for a business and that his business told him to get the stuff.
The manager was able to get a photograph of the suspects’ vehicle and tag information and gave it to the deputy.
