Audrey Bryant Rowland, age 86, passed away Aug. 31, 2026, under the exemplary care of Brightmoor Hospice.
Audrey was born in Dublin, GA, to the late Milburn T. Bryant and Mary Gaynell Kirkus Bryant. Her warm smile and gracious spirit will be fondly remembered by the many friends and colleagues she made throughout her life and during her many years in the banking industry. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Gray, GA, where she was a member of the Sara B.
Sunday School Class. She also shared her love of gardening as a member of the Gray Garden Club, where her green thumb was always evident.
In addition to her parents and husband, William Edward Rowland, Audrey was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Steadfast and loving as a mother, Audrey cherished her family above all else. Among the titles she held most dear were Granny and Gigi, roles she embraced with immense love and pride.
Audrey is survived by her three children, Mike Rowland (Louise), Melinda Balkcom (Wayne), and Michelle Hobbs (Joel); five grandchildren, Lou Sikes (Michael), Trudy Bodaford (Michael), Autumn Canady (Bryan), Dustin Calder (Kelsey), and Avery VanHoozer (Luke); six great-grandchildren, J.C. Harris, Jon Michael Harris, Rena Bella Sikes, Baker Canady, Byron Canady, and Brooks Calder; and her first great-great-grandchild, who is on the way.
She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Wilson, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services took place at 11:00 a.m.
Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, in the Gray Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Randy Darnell officiating. The family received friends and family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment followed in Gray Memorial Gardens at Cedar Ridge.
