It took a second attempt for a negotiated plea to be accepted by Jones County Superior Court Judge Stephen Bradley, but former Bibb County Police Officer Michael Scott Dourough did enter his guilty plea to three counts of incest this afternoon. He was sentenced to a total of 60 years with the first 30 years served in prison.
Dorough was arrested for the Jones County charges while he was on the job in Bibb County March 17. He was indicted by the grand jury June 8 on 13 counts, including incest, eight counts of child molestation, aggravated child molestation and influencing a witness.
