The Rabbit Hole, a new boutique located inside Trend Setters in Gray, has quirky gift items with an enchanting floral and pastel colored theme about the shop.
The new boutique is located inside Trend Setters with other businesses at 147 James Street in Gray, and The Rabbit Hole is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Teri Pospisil, the owner of The Rabbit Hole, said she just bought a house in Jones County this summer, and she enjoys living here. She said the community has been great. She’s originally from California, and her husband is from Connecticut. She said they met in the army.
“I love it here. We wanted to be close to our kids who moved to Georgia, and everyone is so nice here. We love going to Ace of Gray and just walking around to look at everything,” she said. “We’ve met a lot of nice people here, and that’s what I love about living here. I definitely did not grow up in a small town; California is completely different.”
She said she’s excited for the new opportunity to own her own business. She said The Rabbit Hole has very cute and whimsical gifts. “All of this started, because my husband and I retired from the military. During our military time we spent a lot of the time overseas, so I had to start making gifts I couldn’t find. I started crafting about ten years ago for gifts. I could find materials, but not the gifts,” Pospisil said.
The boutique owner said she walked into Trend Setters when she moved to Jones County to get her hair done, and started talking to the owner about her crafting. She said she was offered a room in Trend Setters for The Rabbit Hole, so she took it to start her own business.
“I have a little bit of everything here. I have a lot of faith items, baby items, cards, gift bags, decorated suitcases, decorated furniture, pillows and much more,” the owner said. “I try to keep my prices reasonable, since I want to cater to everybody. There’s nothing like this in Gray. You can come in and grab a last-minute gift here.”
Pospisil said the items not made by her in The Rabbit Hole are items she loves and wants to share them with others. She said people like her shop so far. She just opened the boutique before Christmas, and she wants people to stop by when they can.
She said people should shop at The Rabbit Hole. It’s a little different and she loves meeting new people in Jones County. She said she would love for people to just hang out with her. She said crafting and making cute items is a lot of fun. She’s happy she can share her skills with Jones County.
“I love the independence of owning my own business. It’s flexible, no one is telling me what to do and I’m able to put what I want in my own shop,” she said. “I hope to be in business a long time here in Jones County. It’s been a lot of fun so far. It’s really been a dream come true to do this.”
