GREYHOUND SOCCER
Scoring chances were not an issue for the Lady Greyhounds last Tuesday against GMC Prep.
But on a team with fresh faces still settling into the lineup, the challenge of having to be in sync early in the season played a role on the offensive end, as the Lady Hounds could never quite connect on those chances to score, ending the game in a 0-0 tie.
It came on a night where Jones County was strong on the defensive end, flustering the Bulldogs to keep them scoreless. Tuesday’s tie gave the Lady Greyhounds a 1-1-1 start to the season, with two of those three matches ending in the Lady Hounds posting a shutout.
Jones County fell 10-0 to Stratford on Monday, plays Thursday at Ace Charter and hosts Jackson next Tuesday.
