Jones County High School holds hygiene drive

The Jones County High School Hygiene Drive started Feb. 1.

JROTC Greyhound Battalion has teamed up with the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), and the Career and Technical Instruction (CTI) to conduct the hygiene drive.

Donation boxes have been placed throughout the high school to allow staff, students, and parents to make donations. JROTC is donating the items to school-aged people in need around the Jones County community. This drive is also the Battalion’s annual Service-Learning Project.

The Cadets are looking for businesses that want to team up and help with the campaign. Ways to help are allowing the Cadets to place a donation box inside your business or place a flyer. Or, if your company would like to donate to the drive, we’d be happy to accept it. Please contact Captain McMillan, Michael at 478-986-5444 and ask to be transferred to JROTC or extension 9040.

On March 4, Bradley Baptist Church is holding a free event to support the drive. When you bring your hygiene item as admission, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sliced ham, coffee, and juice will be available. You can sign up for this event at bbcgray.org or the Bradley Baptist Church App.
