Gray Garden Club Daylily Sale
The Gray Garden Club will be selling daylilies April 15 from 10-5 at the Hometown Spring Festival in Gray. Daylilies are named, well established in pots and are $5.
Mobile Food Truck
Jones County will receive only one Mobile Food Truck for this quarter.
Mobile Food Truck from Middle Georgia Community Food Bank will be at Greater Jordan Chapel Church in Haddock on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Line will open at 11:00 am. There will be no Mobile Truck in Jones County for April nor May at Sunrise Ministry nor Greater Jordan Chapel Church. The Velma McFadden Food Pantry is open 1st Saturday and 3rd Thursday from 10:00 - 11:30 am. For emergency food assistance, please call 478-957 8773 or Sunrise Ministry at 478-972 3500 for food assistance.

Jones County Head Start
Now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year. Apply online at mgcaa.org. Documents required for registration are: Birth Certificate/Proof of Birth, Immunization Record Form 3231, Social Security Card, Proof of Income, GA Public Health Form 3300, Medicaid/Insurance Card, and Well Child Check. Free child development services for eligible families with children ages 3-5.
Child must be 3 by Sept. 1, 2023.
Transportation is not provided.

JCHS Unified Bingo Night Fundraiser
May 5, 2023, at the Jones County Fair Grounds. 6pm (Dinner) and 7pm (Bingo). Woodmen Life will serve a Spaghetti dinner that includes bread, tea/lemonade for $6.00 per plate, all desserts are a $1.00 donation. $20 for 6 game sheets, $10 for extra pack, $2 for 1 extra card, $5 for 3 extra cards and $1 for daubers. A Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle and door prizes will also be offered. All proceeds will benefit the Jones County Special Olympics.

Norma Greene Butler Marsh Scholarship
Bradley Baptist Church is currently accepting applications for the Norma Greene Butler Marsh Scholarships. Two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be offered for the 2023 school year. Applications are available to any graduating senior (only Jones County residents) attending Jones County High School in Gray. Applications may be obtained from the counselors’ office at Jones County High School or from Bradley Baptist Church, 821 Monticello Hwy. between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Tuesday - Friday.
Application deadline is April 28, 2023 (postmarked April 28, 2023) mailed to Bradley Baptist Church, P.O. Box 61, Gray, GA 31032 or delivered to Bradley Baptist Church between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday (April 28, 2023). Please direct any questions to Tharpe Greene, 478986-8638.
Miriam Ethridge Pilot Club Scholarship
Applications for the Miriam Ethridge Pilot Club of Jones County Scholarships are currently being accepted. Two $1,500 scholarships will be offered for the 2022-2023 school year.
Applications for the scholarships are available to any high school senior who is a resident of Jones County.
Application forms may be obtained from the Counselor’s office at Jones County High School, or any of the following locations in Gray: Jones County Public Library, Ace Hardware, Exchange Bank, Magnolia Bank, Morris Bank and Cadence Bank.

Morton Johnson Scholarship
Students interested in applying for the Morton Johnson Scholarship for the 2023-2024 school year may pick up an application at the Jones County High School Counselor’s office or email: darscholarship@windstream.net.
