Memorial Day office closing
In observance of Memorial Day, The Jones County News will be closed Monday, May 29. The deadline for the June 1 edition will be Friday, May 26 by 2:00 p.m.

JACOR Money Smart Summer Camp
JACOR is partnering with Wealthy Habits to host the “Money Smart Summer Camp” June 12-16 at the Gray/Jones County Chamber of Commerce for kids from 11-18 years old. Five-day camp, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended care available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Ages 11-14 (max 16 kids), ages 15-18 (max 16 kids).

Gray Garden Club
Gray Garden Club invites you to display your favorite day lilies on June 3, at W. E. Knox Civic Center.
Flowers may be received from 8-10 a.m., judging is from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and open to the public from 12-4 p.m. The specimen should be owned at least three months; limit 24-inch scape. Categories: named/ unnamed, large, small, miniature, double, unusual form for spider.
Containers are supplied. Pick up specimen by 4 p.m. or it will be disposed of. Day lilies will be sold outside beginning at 9 a.m.
