Prayer in the park

Dear Editor,

Jones County is unique in the way that our citizens support the various activities offered throughout the years, including ministry events. On behalf of Kingdom Building Outreach Ministries Intercessory Network, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for the dedicated support shown at our prayer and Bible reading events, in 2023 and years past. We have become family within the local Body of Christ, with new members added each year.

We are normally finished with our calendar of events by now, but we strongly feel the Lord urging us to assemble for a special, unified, time of prayer for Israel.

What has happened to those living there is among the worst of atrocities! There are many, many, critical needs to be met. Many have already been in prayer, and sent donations, to help with the immediate needs.

I know that has touched the heart of God in a special way.

Because prayer is always the first and greatest need, we are issuing a Call to Prayer for Israel, this Sunday, October 29, at Carol’s Park. This will be a time of drop-in prayer, 4:00-6:00 PM, so arrive and leave at your convenience.

This is for everyone, even those outside our county borders, to assemble before the Lord for this united purpose. Family groups are strongly encouraged to do this together. Nobody will be put on the spot to pray, so you may pray on your own, or join with a group that is praying. Prayer guides will be available for those who would like that.

Never doubt the power of our faith filled prayers!

This post by Jane Hamon puts it plainly: When we pray, we’re not just intercessors, but interceptors. Our prayers act like the Iron dome over Israel, intercepting every missile sent by the enemy. We’re declaring ‘No weapon shall prosper’!

I sincerely hope to have a tremendous turn-out this Sunday for the Lord and His chosen people. Israel is the Apple of His Eye. I truly believe this time of prayer is more important to Him than any other thing we could do. Come bless our God through this appointed time of prayer.

Take some time to review the following scriptures, and search others, as a reminder of what God says about the matter. Psalm 122:6-7; Genesis 12:2-3, Isaiah 62:6-7; Matthew 18:20; Isaiah 41:8-13; Psalm 25:22 Sincerely, Debra Hall
