God’s design for the home.
Husband--Love your wife, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it. Don’t be bitter or harsh against her. Love her as you do your own body, for he that loves his wife, loves himself. And as you live with your wife, treat her with understanding, know all about her, and show honor to her as the weaker vessel. Loving her as you should will keep your prayers from being hindered. And as a father, don’t provoke or drive your children to anger or frustration by the way you treat them, but bring them up in the discipline, instruction, and love of the Lord. You are the spiritual leader of the home.
God has placed that responsibility on you, like it or not. So lead well.
Wife--Submit yourself unto your own husband, as unto the Lord. The husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church. As the church is subject unto Christ, so you are to be also unto your husband in every thing except for sin.
Respect your husband.
And if your husband isn’t saved, he may be won to the Lord, not by nagging, but by the godly way you live.
Children--Except for sin, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise, that promise being that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth. And honor them even after you are grown and no longer live at home.
