Real Life

“I have sinned” (2 Sam 12:13) People claim that the sin they are involved in is because that’s the way God made them. The sin may be sexual. It may be an anger issue. It may be a drinking/drug issue.

Whatever the sin may be, God did not create you that way, because God does not tempt people with sin (Jam 1:13). YOU created you that way.

God created you to be the image of Jesus, not any other image.

David had sinned in doing murder and adultery, and Pastor Nathan confronted him with his sins. David didn’t make excuses but instead acknowledge that he was guilty by his own hand. I Have Sinned he confessed to Nathan. He did it.

Guilty as charged and it was his fault. No one else’s.

Jesus came to restore the image of God in each of us because that image has been marred by our sins. Blaming others, including God, for your sins is spiritual garbage.

Live up to your sin.

Confess. Repent. Turn to Jesus, and regardless of the sin, He will forgive you because His blood cleanses from all sin. God didn’t create you to be a sinner condemned. He created you to be a saint redeemed.
