Kaden Douglas, Jaleel Jordan and Robert Scott have one thing in common through having been part of the Greyhounds’ recent pushes into the postseason.
They now have another common thread following last week as all three signed national lettersof- intent to continue their athletic careers.
In last week’s signing day event held at the JCHS cafeteria, Kaden Douglas and Jaleel Jordan from the boys basketball team signed with Central Georgia Tech and Middle Georgia Prep, with Robert Scott inking with Andrew College.
Scott won’t be the only Greyhound from this year’s group heading to Andrew, as Aiden Lipford also previously signed to wrestle there. Scott’s senior season saw him qualify for state, place third in the region and help JCHS to a programbest finish of fifth in the state duals.
Both Douglas and Jordan were part of the Greyhounds team this season that upset a region champion in the first round for the second postseason in a row with Jordan averaging 10 points and three rebounds. Douglas averaged 14.7 points this past season, wrapping up a career that included a junior season in which the Greyhounds advanced to the GHSA Class AAAAA final four in one of the best seasons in program history.
