Based on the latest action on the college football recruiting trail, more and more coaches in the Atlantic Coast Conference know where Gray, Georgia, is.
Greyhounds receiver Jaivon Solomon, a rising senior, recently became the third Greyhound in the Class of 2025 to verbally commit to an ACC school, and it’s one that has previously come away from Gray with an offensive standout.
JCHS safety Javion Butts previously committed to North Carolina, while earlier this year, linebacker Zacari Thomas pledged his verbal commitment to Boston College, picking the Eagles over schools including Georgia Tech and Kansas.
Solomon’s recent commitment was to Duke, the same school where former JCHS star Jontavis Robertson will be a senior this season. In Solomon’s commitment, Duke may very well have another speedster on the way as after this year they’ll graduate five receivers. Solomon is one of three receivers in Duke’s upcoming signing class.
Solomon chose the Blue Devils over Pittsburgh as well as the likes of East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State and Memphis.
