VOLLEYBALL
The time of the season with results of matches meaning more began for the Volley Hounds last week with the start of contests that’ll count within region standings.
From now until the end of the season, roughly half of Jones County’ matches are against region opponents with others being non-region foes.
JCHS began region play last Tuesday, losing 25-11 and 25-13 to Union Grove on the first half of a tri-match. The Lady Hounds bounced back in taking on Ola. Going against the Mustangs, Jones County won the first set 25-22 before losing 25-11 and dropping the final set 15-12 as the Mustangs took the win.
JCHS is scheduled to host Lake Oconee Academy Sept. 10 followed by a home region match against Locust Grove on Sept. 12.
