Jordan Chapel A.M.E. Anniversary

Jordan Chapel A.M.E. Church is celebrating its 157th Church Anniversary and Homecoming Oct. 13, 2:00 p.m. at Adams Tabernacle in Haddock. Rev.

Book Sale

The Jones County Friends of the Library will have their book sale Saturday, Oct. 12, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 273 Railroad Street, Gray, building next to the JCHS track. Thousands of books and audio visuals of all types for all ages. Amazing prices – many are free. Feature of the month – mystery.

Holliman Grove Pentecostal Church

Holliman Grove Pentecostal Church will have its Family and Friends Day Oct. 20, 2:00 p.m., at 280 Vinson Road, McIntyre.

The public is invited to join.

There will be a baking contest and awards will be given.

Voices of the Past Lantern Tour

Tours start at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m. The 6 p.m. tour is a twilight tour for those that want to see more of the historic site or don’t want to walk in the dark. 24th Annual Veterans Day Celebration

Knox Center. 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cruise in car show, food vendors, Honor Flight information, music, entertainment, Field of Flags. Each veteran attending will receive a gift. Veterans Program at 11:00 a.m.
