Hounds notch into win column, prevail over Ola

HOOP HOUNDS

Any time that a team is short on experience, finding success in the way of building blocks is key.

They serve as something to build on for not just the now but the future as well.

The Greyhounds earned themselves just that last week, getting past Ola late for a 58-51 win for their first win of the season. That win came as JCHS bounced back from last Tuesday’s 74-44 loss to Locust Grove.

JCHS is 1-7 overall, but three of those losses have come to top-10 ranked teams in McDonough, Eagles Landing and Southwest Macon.

The Greyhounds began the week eager to follow up on Friday’s win against Woodland on Tuesday and Hampton on Friday, two teams that ended last week with four combined region wins.

Jones County will come away from Christmas break to host Southwest on Dec. 28. Then, after a non-region game at Putnam County on Jan. 4, games at Eagles Landing Christian and Union Grove lead into 11 straight home games to conclude the regular season.
